Here are some of the tools I've used on documentation projects I've completed. Some of those projects required more work than just written documentation, like visualizations and project management.

Authoring

  • Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word (including projects that required external plugins to automate certain documentation tasks), Confluence

Project Management

  • Microsoft Project, Jira

  • Agile and waterfall methodologies, scrum

Git

  • GitBook, Git, and Github (via GUI and Command Line)

Data Analysis and Visualization

  • SQL, Jupyter Notebook

  • IBM Cognos, PowerBI, OpenSearch Dashboards, Tableau
